If one vows meat, is it permissible to eat of its broth?

A vow must be fulfilled in the manner in which it was vowed. If the vow was designated for a specific group, such as the poor and the needy, or if it was a vow of recompense, then the person who made the vow is not permitted to eat from it. This includes the broth of the meat, and if they eat from it, they must guarantee its substitute. However, if it was neither a vow of recompense nor designated for a specific group, some scholars have permitted eating from it, though it is preferable to avoid doing so.
