Is Zakat permissible for charitable organizations and hospitals such as "Son3 El Hayah," "57357," "Magdi Yacoub," and "Zewail City," or for humanitarian cases featured on television? And has the time for Zakat passed after its due date? And are amounts designated for travel and debts added to the principal amount when calculating Zakat? And are Zakat and Sadaqat accepted from someone who neglects prayer due to severe psychological circumstances?

First: It is permissible to give zakat to charitable organizations to appoint them as agents for its distribution, provided that it is verified that it reaches the rightful recipients according to Islamic law. Illnesses or humanitarian disasters do not make a person eligible for zakat unless they meet the conditions for the legal recipients of zakat.

Second: Zakat has not been abolished, and delaying its payment for a few days to search for eligible recipients is permissible when necessary, especially for a short period.

Third: It is permissible to deduct stable debts from zakat if you do not have sufficient funds to repay them. However, unstable debts that will be spent soon cannot be deducted.

Fourth: Abandoning prayer while being diligent in giving zakat is astonishing, as prayer is more emphasized and greater than zakat, and abandoning it is a major sin. If the one who abandons prayer denies its obligation, then he is an infidel in major apostasy. As for the one who abandons it due to laziness, there is a disagreement among scholars: those who consider it major apostasy do not accept his zakat, while those who consider it minor apostasy hope for the acceptance of his zakat. Prayer is the pillar of religion, and abandoning it exposes religion to collapse.
