What is the ruling on purchasing a pirated Quran CD, knowing that an oath swearing it is original is a condition for opening it, and original copies are not available in Palestine?

Contemporary scholars have differed on the issue of copying computer programs without the permission of their owners. One group has taken the view that it is impermissible, based on hadiths such as: "Muslims are bound by their conditions," and "The property of a Muslim person is not lawful without his willing consent." Another group has permitted it if the copying is for personal use, especially for students who cannot obtain original copies. The more cautious approach for a Muslim is not to buy, use, or copy pirated discs, in order to avoid disagreement. As for a false oath, it is one of the greatest sins, and repentance from it is obligatory.
