Has the waiting period (iddah) ended on the 6th of Dhul-Qi'dah, and is the day for the woman observing the waiting period calculated from the rising of dawn until sunset?

The waiting period (iddah) for a woman whose husband has passed away ends at the exact hour of the husband's death, after the completion of the iddah. So, if the husband died after sunset (Maghrib prayer), the iddah ends after the Maghrib prayer on the last day. The day of death is counted within the iddah according to the majority of jurists. However, the Malikis, according to their well-known opinion, hold that the day is not counted if the death occurred after dawn. Imam Al-Shafi'i explained this by stating that if her husband dies at midday, she counts what remains of the month, then observes the iddah for three months according to the lunar calendar, then completes the fourth month with thirty days and their nights, then observes an additional ten days and their nights. If she completes the iddah up to the same hour of death, then her iddah has expired, knowing that the night follows the day that comes after it.
