Is the prayer of a wine drinker accepted—one who did not become intoxicated and was unaware of the hadith, then repented sincerely after drinking a single cup and before Ramadan—taking into consideration the hadith which states that the prayer of a wine drinker is not accepted for forty days?

The prayer of a wine-drinker is rejected for forty mornings, whether he becomes intoxicated or not, as stated in various prophetic traditions (hadiths). So, whoever drinks wine and becomes intoxicated, his prayer is not accepted for forty mornings. And if he does not become intoxicated, his prayer is not accepted as long as there is any of it in his stomach or veins. If the drinker repents, Allah accepts his repentance and his prayer is accepted, unless he was ignorant of the ruling on drinking wine.
