Glad tidings to the questioner with repentance, for one who repents from sin is like one who has no sin, and repentance expiates what preceded it, so do not despair of Allah’s mercy.
As for vows, they are disliked, but they must be fulfilled, except for a vow of disobedience. And a vow to fast for a full year includes the days of Eid and the days of Tashreeq, and fasting on these days is forbidden.
Therefore, it is not permissible to fast on the two Eid days and the days of Tashreeq, but it is not forbidden to fast on other days of the year.
