Are the obsessive whispers I suffer from, which involve slandering Allah Almighty, considered disbelief, and does the ruling on one who slanders Allah and His Messenger apply to me, knowing that I adhere to acts of worship and try to distance myself from these whispers, and will Allah forgive me for that, or do I have to spend my entire life in worship so that Allah may forgive me?
Praise be to Allah for the blessing of guidance. Whispers [Waswas] do not cause harm unless they transform into a belief or a firm intention, and Allah does not hold a person accountable for what passes through their mind. We advise you to recite the Qur’an with contemplation, to increase your remembrance of Allah, to consistently perform the prescribed adhkar (remembrances), to strive to maintain wudu (ablution) most of the time, to stay away from sins, to associate with Muslim youth who seek knowledge, and to pray that Allah expands your chest and inspires you with guidance.
