Will a truthful woman be punished on the Day of Resurrection if she neglected to treat her toothache?

There is no sin or punishment in not taking medicine, because medical treatment is not obligatory according to the more authoritative opinion. This is supported by the hadith (definition) of the black woman who chose tribulation and Paradise, and by the state of the Prophets and the righteous who patiently endured tribulation and did not resort to means of repelling it, such as Ayyub (peace be upon him) and Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq.
