How are compensation paid and blood money (Diyya) settled for a female patient, and is expiation (Kaffara) incumbent upon someone who unintentionally extracted a healthy tooth instead of a diseased one?

If a dentist makes a mistake and extracts the wrong tooth, there is no sin upon him if he is skilled in his profession, because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah has forgiven my nation for their mistakes, forgetfulness, and what they are coerced into." However, he is obligated to compensate for what his hand caused, and its blood money (diyya) is five camels (half a tenth of the full blood money). If the tooth returns to its original state, scholars have differed regarding the obligation of diyya, and the preponderant opinion according to the Maliki, Shafi'i, and Hanafi schools is that it remains obligatory.
