Pictures of animate beings must be destroyed and disposed of. Furthermore, it is not permissible to use vessels plated with silver, due to the Hadith (definition): "He who drinks in a silver vessel is only gargling the fire of Hell in his belly." As for the gifts given to you, it is permissible to dispose of them by selling, gifting, or endowing them, and similar actions.
