Does designing clothes for young girls fall under the ruling for designing women's fashion, making it haram?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

The criterion for the permissibility and lawfulness of work is that it should not lead to or include anything forbidden. Therefore, anything that leads to the forbidden becomes unlawful, due to the principle of cooperating in sin, as Allah Almighty says: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression." Designing clothes is permissible so long as there is no legal impediment, such as imitating disbelievers or transgressors, or incorporating symbols of disbelief, or images of living beings, or revealing nudity. However, designing clothes that contain Sharia violations is forbidden.
