Who are the Habashis mentioned in the program "Sharia and Life," and what is the nature of their evils, if any, upon the religion?

The Habashis are a sect affiliated with Abdullah al-Habashi, who arrived in Lebanon in 1950 CE. He promoted his ideas there, and then they spread to other regions. They propagate the doctrines of the Jahmiyya regarding divine attributes, the Jabriyya regarding divine decree, and the ideas of Sufis and esotericists. They revile many Companions and declare most Islamic scholars to be disbelievers. They negate all divine attributes and affirm only what their minds can conceive. They believe that Tawhid (monotheism) is solely Tawhid al-Rububiyyah (oneness of Lordship). They permit invoking the dead, seeking their help, making vows to them, and seeking blessings from stones and other polytheistic practices. They introduce many innovations, revile the Companions, and disparage Aisha and Mu'awiyah, may Allah be pleased with them both. They have declared many scholars to be disbelievers and disparaged them, such as Ibn Khuzaymah, Ibn Taymiyyah, Ibn al-Qayyim, and Al-Dhahabi. Among contemporary scholars, they have disparaged Ibn Baz, Al-Albani, Ibn Uthaymin, Sayyid Sabiq, and Sayyid Qutb. It is imperative to be cautious of them and to warn others against them.
