What is the ruling on describing something strange as a miracle?

Linguistically, a miracle (mu'jiza) is something that incapacitates one from producing its like. Terminologically, it is that which indicates Allah’s affirmation of the messenger's claim to prophethood, or it is Allah's support for the claimant to prophethood with something that corroborates his claim, so that those to whom he is sent may believe him. It is an extraordinary phenomenon, be it a word or an action, that corresponds to the claim of prophethood, accompanies it, and matches it by way of challenge, such that no one is able to produce its like. This meaning is exclusively applied to the miracles of the Messengers.
