Do visions vary in clarity between the truthful vision that comes as the break of dawn and other dreams, and was what I saw, due to its extreme clarity, a truthful vision?

Visions are of three types: a righteous vision, which consists of glad tidings from Allah's grace to His righteous servants; a vision from the self's musings, which is what a person sees when preoccupied with something; and a vision of fright from Satan, which are mere illusions with no reality. A truthful vision is for the upright believer, while some may be confused dreams for someone thinking about a matter, or from Satan's play. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The most truthful of them in vision are the most truthful of them in speech."
