Visions are of three types: a true vision from Allah, a vision from self-talk, and a vision of sorrow from Satan. The interpretation of visions is a sound science, attested to by the Quran and the , and this is what the Quran intended by "interpretation of narrations." Interpretation may be indicated by the Quran, the Sunnah, or parables, and it relies on a special understanding bestowed by Allah upon whom He wills. There is no universally applicable rule that everyone can follow.
