The answer

Purity is not a condition for the state of Ihram or for most of the rituals of Umrah and Hajj, except for Tawaf, due to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Tawaf around the House is prayer." Whoever invalidates their ablution during Tawaf, their Tawaf becomes void, and they must renew their ablution. It is more prudent to restart the Tawaf. Passing wind invalidates ablution, unless one suffers from chronic flatulence. In such a case, one should perform ablution after the time for prayer begins, then pray and perform Tawaf with that ablution as long as the prayer time has not expired, similar to the case of a woman with chronic vaginal bleeding (istihadah) or someone with urinary incontinence. One who passes wind is not required to perform istinja' (washing the private parts).
