Imam Ahmad narrated the story of Abraham pelting the Jamarat when Satan appeared to him, and Sheikh Al-Albani pointed to the weakness of this narration. The origin of the story, without specifying whether the sacrificed son was Isaac, was narrated by Al-Bayhaqi and Al-Hakim as مرفوعة ( مرفوعة means a narration that is directly attributed to the Prophet Muhammad). The pelting of the Jamarat is an emulation of Abraham, peace be upon him, and it contains a sign of the enmity of Satan, which Allah has commanded.
