Will Allah forgive all sins? And how do we distance ourselves from them?

Allah's mercy is vast and encompasses forgiveness for all sins for those who repent and turn to Him. Allah the Almighty said: "Say, 'O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.'" Among the things that help in abandoning sins are associating with righteous people, frequently attending gatherings of remembrance (dhikr) and knowledge, contemplating death and its horrors, and feeling Allah's constant observation of His servant.
