Is it permissible to designate a specific name among the Most Beautiful Names of Allah (Asma’ Allah al-Husna) for supplicating for a particular purpose, such as "the All-Strong" (al-Qawiyy) for strength or "the All-Rich" (al-Ghaniyy) for wealth, or are all of Allah's Names sufficient, and it is not permissible to designate a specific name for a particular ailment?

There is no objection to the supplicant choosing from the beautiful names of Allah that which suits his request and supplication, such as "At-Tawwab (The Accepter of Repentance), Ar-Rahim (The Most Merciful)" for seeking repentance, and "Al-Wahhab (The Bestower)" for seeking a bestowal. This is affirmed in the Quran and Sunnah. However, singling out a specific name for healing from a particular illness without a شرعي (Shar'i - legal/religious) دليل (daleel - evidence) is not permissible.
