al-Layl (night vigil prayer) is one of the best acts of worship. However, a prayer that includes reciting Surat Al-Fatihah and Ayat Al-Kursiyy seven times in the last prostration is an innovation (bid'ah). Reading the Qur’an during bowing (ruku’) and prostration () has been prohibited, and scholars have agreed that it is disliked ().
