Is a husband permitted to seek divorce from his wife due to her concealing her severe vision impairment, which has been passed on to their son, knowing that he sought Allah's guidance (istikharah) before marriage?

The husband is advised to hold on to his wife, to fear Allah concerning her, and to raise their children well. What Allah has diverted from a person may be good for them, and what they love may be a trial. Contentment with Allah's decree is obligatory. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, clarified that Allah does not look at images or wealth, but at hearts and deeds. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, also warned against being deluded by beauty, which can lead to perdition. The Holy Quran emphasizes the possibility of much good in what is disliked and recommends living with wives in kindness, for Allah may place much good in them, such as the birth of a righteous son. As for defects, the right to annulment lapses with consent and knowledge of the defect, and there is a difference of opinion among scholars regarding the defects that permit annulment. If the husband will treat his wife with kindness and remove regret, then let him hold on to her and entrust his affair to Allah. But if holding on to her will renew sorrow, then he must divorce her and give her all her financial rights.
