What is the ruling on setting a supplication (du'a), Qur'an, or adhan as the waiting tone when calling someone (echo service)?

The "Sada" service is permissible if the chosen sound is lawful or beneficial. It is forbidden to choose music or indecent songs. As for choosing the Qur’an or the Adhan (definition), there may be a devaluation of them, because thean was revealed for contemplation and action, and the Adhan was legislated to announce the prayer. Du’a (supplication) is less problematic. Sheikh Al-Fawzan issued a fatwa (definition) that making the Adhan or Qur’an a notification tone is a devaluation of them, and he advised choosing an alarm that does not contain music or Qur’an.
