How should a Muslim break their fast? Is it permissible to delay Maghrib prayer due to food, citing the saying, "No prayer in the presence of food," given its limited time? And is it better to break the fast with dates and pray, then complete the meal, or to finish the entire meal then pray?

It is sunnah to hasten breaking the fast upon certainty of sunset. It is most complete to break the fast with dates and then delay the main meal until after Maghrib prayer, in order to combine the sunnah of hastening the breaking of the fast with performing the Maghrib prayer at its prescribed time. The hadiths that encourage starting with food before prayer are specific to those whose food is ready, so that their hearts are not preoccupied with it during prayer. It does not mean seeking out food to delay the prayer from its time or from the congregation.
