Why is Arabic—the language of the Qur’an—not taught as a second language in all Islamic countries to facilitate understanding of the Qur’an and communication among the peoples of these countries, just as English is taught as a second language?

Undoubtedly, the importance of a Muslim learning the Arabic language is paramount, as it is the language of the Quran, and through it one understands the texts of Islamic law. This should be a matter of concern for those in authority in Islamic countries, and Islamic organizations such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation should adopt it, for this will bring good to Islam and Muslims.
