How do we respond to someone who claims that God loves everyone, including disbelievers, and that He cannot hate anyone? And does God love all Muslims, even the great sinners among them, given that they believe in His oneness and His religion, and that their ultimate destination is Paradise?

The statement that God loves everyone and hates no one because hatred is a human attribute is a false statement, contradicting what God has described Himself with: that He, glory be to Him, loves and hates, is pleased and displeased. God has mentioned the characteristics of those whom He loves, such as the repentant, the purified, the pious, the doers of good, those who rely on Him, the just, and those who strive in His cause. He has also mentioned the characteristics of those whom He does not love, such as disbelievers, oppressors, the arrogant, the extravagant, the treacherous, the proud, and the transgressors.

The disobedient believer is loved for his faith, monotheism, and obedience, and disliked for his disobedience. And God loves the repentance of His servants and calls them to it.
