How can I overcome the past and deal with my family again after their belated apology for the problems that occurred, knowing that I am still affected by what happened?

Satan strives to sow discord among believers. Allah Almighty has commanded His servants to reconcile between them, saying: "The believers are nothing but brothers, so make reconciliation between your two brothers and fear Allah that you may receive mercy." If your family apologizes, you must accept the apology, following the example of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and not obey Satan, who makes it appealing not to accept an apology in order to perpetuate enmities. It is not permissible for a Muslim to abandon his brother for more than three (days), and the better of the two is the one who initiates the greeting. If the erring family members are the parents, the sin is greater, for the Lord's pleasure is in the parents' pleasure.
