Is jealousy of the prophets and wishing to belong to their noble lineage a bad thing that warrants punishment?

Allah is Wise; He places things in their rightful positions. He honored the prophets with His grace due to their beautiful qualities. Love the prophets and emulate them. Cast away this feeling from yourself by recalling Allah's profound wisdom and knowledge, and that He assigns everyone the position befitting them. This feeling is not blameworthy as long as it is merely a thought and does not lead to hatred. You must rid yourself of it so that on the Day of Resurrection, you may be among those who follow the prophets.
