Is it permissible for a woman to wear a white wedding dress on her wedding night, or is that considered forbidden because it is from the dress of the unbelievers?

There is no objection to a woman wearing a white wedding dress, provided that she does not appear in it before non-mahram men, and that it is modest and not revealing. It is not a condition that the dress itself be an adornment, because the resemblance to non-Muslim women has ceased, as it has become common among both Muslims and non-Muslims.

The Permanent Committee for Issuing Fatwas permitted women to wear what is specific to women on their wedding night and at other times if it is modest and does not involve imitating men or non-Muslim women. It is not permissible for a woman to uncover her face before non-mahram men on her wedding night or at any other time.
