Does the Hadith, "Wear white clothes, for they are among your best clothes, and shroud your dead in them," include both men and women, and is it permissible for a woman to wear a long white dress if it is tailored for her, out of concern for not imitating men?

It is recommended for men to wear white clothes because they are among the best garments. As for women, they may wear whatever colors and adornments they wish inside their homes. However, outside the home, they must adhere to the legal hijab (definition). It is not a condition that it be of a specific color, but she must consider the customs of the women in her country to avoid wearing garments of fame (libas al-shuhrah) or imitating men. So, if white is considered a garment of fame or a striking adornment in the custom of her country, then she is not permitted to wear it outside the home.
