Is the money collected by supervisors from violations during trips, and distributed among them, unlawful, especially if I take it with the intention of giving it to the needy?
It is not permissible to work in interest-based banks or in entertainment venues where forbidden acts are committed. It is permissible to work in entertainment venues that are free from forbidden acts. The amount taken by the supervisor from the violator as a fee for participating in the trip must be paid to the administration organizing the trip. It is not lawful for him to take it for himself or to conspire with the employee to take it, as this constitutes consuming wealth unlawfully. Allah Almighty says: "O you who have believed, do not consume one another's wealth unjustly" (Quran 4:29). And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "No flesh that has grown from unlawful earnings will enter Paradise; the Fire is more befitting for it." Supervisors must return these amounts to their rightful owners (the administration or the entertainment venues). If the entertainment venues are forbidden, then the value of the tickets must be given to the poor and needy.
