ما المقصود بالحكمة في قوله تعالى: "يؤتي الحكمة من يشاء ومن يؤتَ الحكمة فقد أوتي خيرًا كثيرًا"، وهل المقصود بالعلم في حديث "إن الله يعطي العلم لمن يحب" هو العلم الديني أم الدنيوي كالهندسة؟

Wisdom is the mastery of knowledge and the performance of actions in accordance with it. It is a gift from Allah. Scholars have differed on its meaning in the verse: "He grants wisdom to whom He wills." Some say it is prophecy, others say it is knowledge of the Quran, some say it is understanding of the religion and adherence to it, and still others say it is the fear of Allah. Ibn Ashour is of the view that wisdom encompasses everything that involves the betterment of souls, including prophecy, guidance, and instruction. In Islamic law, wisdom revolves around religious matters such as the fear of Allah and knowledge of the Quran and Sunnah (definition). It may also include beneficial worldly sciences for the nation if they are sought for the sake of Allah. As for the mentioned Hadith (definition), "Indeed, Allah gives the worldly life to those He loves and those He does not love, but He does not give the religion except to those He loves," it was narrated by Al-Bayhaqi.
