Can wisdom be acquired, or is it a provision from God?

Wisdom has multiple interpretations. It can mean prophecy, Sunnah, jurisprudence, knowledge of religion, admonition, ruling with truth, understanding from Allah and His Messenger, and good deeds. Some wisdom is acquired, like knowledge and understanding, and some is not acquired, like prophecy. Everything is in the hand of Allah; He grants it to whom He wills. Humans are required to strive and take the means to attain what Allah has decreed for them, be it sustenance or wisdom.
