What is the ruling on insulting the "religion" of things, such as "paper" or "responsibility," and what is the ruling on using the word "Rabb" (Lord) to mean "thing" or "person" in sentences like "I hated the Rabb of my life" or "He brought his Rabb"?

Cursing inanimate objects of worship is evil and repulsive. As for cursing the Lord, Blessed and Exalted be He, it is disbelief by the consensus of scholars, whether done in jest, seriously, or mockingly. However, whoever did not intend Allah the Exalted with his words does not commit disbelief, as a Muslim is not declared an apostate as long as there is even one way to keep him within the fold of Islam. A Muslim must guard his tongue and speak only that which is certainly good, for a person may utter a word that plunges him into the Hellfire farther than the distance between the East and the West, and most of what casts people into the Hellfire are the harvests of their tongues.
