What is the ruling on a woman working if she is compelled to do so?

There is no harm for a Muslim woman to work outside her home if she needs to, provided she avoids any Sharia-prohibited matters and the work is permissible, while adhering to the dictates of Islamic law. It is more fitting for her to remain in her home if she does not need to work, so she can fulfill her responsibilities towards her children and husband.
