Is clapping, when accompanying singing with the daff (tambourine) at a women's celebration, forbidden?

Clapping is of two types: The first is within prayer, which is forbidden for men but recommended for women. The second is outside of prayer, and it is divided into two parts: Permissible if done for a need, such as seeking permission or alerting, and disliked or forbidden if done without a need, based on Allah's saying concerning the prayer of the polytheists at the Kaaba: "except for whistling and clapping."
