What is the ruling on working in a commercial bank that is decided to be converted into an Islamic bank within two years?

Usury is one of the gravest forbidden acts, and working in usurious banks is impermissible due to its cooperation in sin and transgression. However, if the bank transforms into an Islamic bank and its operations become compliant with Sharia (definition), then there is no objection to working in it, and its past state is not considered. Nevertheless, if the bank does not rid itself of ill-gotten wealth, the majority of scholars deem it undesirable to deal with it.
