Does the wudu’ (ablution) of a person with an excuse become invalidated by the exiting of the Maghrib prayer time while he is in the last rak’ah of the Maghrib prayer, or does he continue his prayer?

If the event [i.e., the state of impurity] is continuous for a person with an excuse (ma'dhur), then their prayer is valid according to the Maliki and Shafi'i schools. The time for Maghrib prayer, according to the Malikis, extends until the break of dawn, and similarly for the Shafi'is in the case of a person with an excuse. The purification of a person with incontinence (sals) is not restricted by the continuity of time according to them. However, according to the Hanbali and Hanafi schools, the ablution of a person with incontinence becomes invalid when the time for prayer expires. Therefore, while the prayer is valid according to some scholars, performing it as a make-up (qada') is closer to piety (wara') and avoids scholarly disagreement.
