What is the ruling on an elderly woman living with her son and his two companions in one house, whether out of necessity or not?

There is no harm in a woman living with her son's two companions if the dwelling is spacious, has multiple facilities, and there is security from khalwa (private seclusion), immodesty, and unlawful mixing. However, if its facilities are shared, it is not permissible because it is a place where forbidden acts are likely to occur, and the woman's age does not make it permissible. If there is a necessity for the dwelling, then all precautions must be taken to avoid anything that leads to forbidden acts.
