It is not impossible for a memorizer of the Qur'an to be afflicted by magic, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was afflicted by it. And whoever relies on Allah and strives to repel magic with legitimate , Allah will remove it from him. Allah tests the righteous with magic and illness as an expiation for their sins and a raising of their ranks, and for them to be an example in patience.
