How can one avoid psychological stress at work in the field of taxation, while being careful not to incur God's wrath, especially since this work involves severe pressure on people?
There is no way to avoid Allah's wrath, a constricted life, and anxiety and distress, except through faith, righteous deeds, and refraining from sins. This is because sins bring about Allah's wrath and a constricted chest. Allah Almighty said: "But whoever turns away from My remembrance - indeed, for him will be a constricted life, and We will gather him on the Day of Resurrection blind." The disobedient person finds estrangement in his heart between himself and Allah, and estrangement between himself and people, and his affairs become difficult. Among these are oppressing people by taking their money unjustly in the form of taxes. This is a sign of wretchedness and hardship, and it is forbidden by Islamic law. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The collector of illegal taxes will not enter Paradise." Therefore, one must beware of injustice and adhere to obedience to Allah and His remembrance, for remembrance is a cause for the tranquility of hearts. Allah Almighty said: "Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured."
