What is said of one who disobeys Allah to please a created being, and what is the ruling on that if the created being is not Muslim? Is this considered al-muwalat (showing loyalty to disbelievers)? And is the one who remains silent about it, or who leaves one who does so in the house, sinful?

There is no obedience to a creature in disobeying the Creator. Worse than that is seeking people's pleasure by incurring Allah's wrath. It is permissible to speak with a foreign maid out of necessity, provided there is no soft speech or opening the door to temptation. It is forbidden to shake hands with her or to be in seclusion with her. Often, the temptation with a maid arises from unlawful desire, not from a defect in faith. The husband must not be enabled to be in seclusion with the maid, and the door to temptation should be closed by having a mahram with her, or another woman, or by dispensing with her and replacing her with an old, undesirable maid.
