Is it permissible to abort a fetus in the fifth month if tests show that its brain is outside the skull and that it will die hours after birth?

Abortion is not permissible after the ensoulment unless there is a confirmed danger to the mother's life, because it is the killing of a soul that Allah has forbidden. It is advised to submit to Allah's command and decree, for Allah is more merciful to the fetus and to the parents. Allah may reserve a great reward and recompense for this, as stated in the Hadith (definition) Qudsi that Allah commands the building of the House of Praise in Paradise for one who praises Him and says "To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return" upon the death of their child.
