What is your advice to a sister who is suffering from a pregnancy problem, as a medical examination showed that the fetus, in its sixth month, has no brain, and the doctor mentioned that if it lives, it will be without intellect and will die?

It is recommended to be patient and content with Allah's decree, for "perhaps you dislike a thing and it is good for you." It is not permissible to abort a living fetus merely because of a deformity, unless its continuation poses a definite danger to the mother's life. The sister should not hasten to judge that the fetus will not live. However, if it is confirmed by trustworthy doctors that it is a dead body, then there is no harm in aborting it.
