What is the ruling on writing novels about vampires and the like, or about human characters who transform into other creatures and then return to their original state?

It has been previously ruled permissible to author books containing fictional stories, as long as the reader knows they are not real and the intention behind them is good. This includes fictional characters such as transforming into a vampire or an animal, if it does not violate the creed or contradict Islamic law, and the mere fact that the character is supernatural does not preclude it.
