It is forbidden to read novels and stories that may affect a Muslim's faith, unless the reader is fortified with sufficient knowledge to repel doubts. This category includes novels in which one of the characters controls time. As for mythical fictional stories that do not contain a call or message contradicting faith or values, such as a talking animal or imaginary creatures, there is no objection to reading them. This category includes novels in which a character has a superpower enabling them to fly.
