What is the ruling on writing a novel about superheroes that contains supernatural abilities, such as mind control and camouflage?

There is no harm in fictional stories that are free of Sharia (definition) prohibitions, and there is no objection to introducing supernatural characters as long as this does not contradict Islamic عقيدة (creed) by claiming characteristics of Lordship (Rububiyyah) or Divinity (Uluhiyyah) for those characters. Merely mentioning a character capable of camouflage does not necessitate prohibition. Hypnosis is haram (definition) (forbidden) if it relies on the use of jinn, and mubah (definition) (permissible) if it relies on suggestion and psychological practices. Accordingly, mentioning hypnosis in novels is forbidden if it is of the first type, and permissible if it is of the second type.
