What is the difference between permitting imagination that includes supernatural powers, such as a human flying, and prohibiting the existence of supernatural powers, such as using fire or water without describing the characters as sorcerers?

There is a clear difference between promoting magic and sorcerers by imitating their actions and methods or glorifying them—this is forbidden because it is a promotion and glorification of something reprehensible in Islamic law. As for novels that include extraordinary, imaginative elements—such as a person breathing underwater, for example—which do not involve claims of divine attributes, this does not necessitate prohibition, as long as the novel is free from Islamic law violations.
