It is forbidden to watch stories, films, and TV series that contain messages or calls affecting a Muslim's creed, unless the viewer is fortified with sufficient knowledge to repel doubts. As for legendary fictional stories that do not contain a call or message contradicting creed or values, such as talking animals or mythical creatures, the default ruling is permissibility, provided they do not include other forbidden elements such as illicit images or musical instruments.
