Is it permissible to supplicate for the jinn "Qareen" to embrace Islam?

The Hadith you mentioned is an authentic Hadith narrated by Muslim. There has been a difference of opinion regarding the meaning of "(fa-aslama)" in the Hadith, as it was transmitted with two narrations: with a dammah on the meem and with a fatha on it. Those who pronounced it with a dammah (aslamu) said: I am safe from his evil. And those who pronounced it with a fatha (aslama) said: The Qareen (companion jinn) submitted (to Islam) and became a believer, and this is the more apparent meaning due to his (the Prophet's) saying: "so he does not command me except with good." This is one of the special characteristics of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Therefore, it is not permissible for a Muslim to supplicate to Allah for the Islam of their Qareen, because it is an transgression in supplication by asking for something that is among the Prophet's special characteristics, peace and blessings be upon him, and because this was not transmitted from the Companions. A Muslim must suffice with supplicating and seeking refuge with Allah from the devils as mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah, such as reciting the Mu'awwidhat (Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Nas) and Ayat Al-Kursy.
