Which of the formulas for seeking refuge from the accursed Shaytan is more correct, especially with the existing disagreement regarding "A‘ūdhu billāhi min ash-Shayṭāni r-rajīm" and some preferring "A‘ūdhu billāhi min ash-Shayṭāni r-rajīmi min hamzihi, wa nafhihi, wa nafthih"?

The formulas for seeking refuge from Satan are numerous and all are legislated. The most common is: "I seek refuge with Allah from Satan, the accursed" (A'udhu billahi minash-shaytanir-rajeem). This is supported by the hadith of Sulayman ibn Sard and the hadith of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri: "I seek refuge with Allah, the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing, from Satan, the accursed, from his madness, his pride, and his evil poetry" (A'udhu billahi as-samee'i al-'aleemi minash-shaytanir-rajeem, min hamazihi wa nafkhihi wa nafthihi).
